Follow these simple steps to help you start using our APIs
Create Account
Create an account
Sign up to register your account and gain access to Macmillans APIs and start enhancing your product. Sign up here
Sign In to your account
Once you activate your acount, Sign in and browse the products you wish to use for your business. Sign in here
Subscribe to APIs
Choose an API product
Select a product you wish to start a subscription to. You can browse our products here.
Request a subscription
Once signed in, go to the details page for your chosen product. You can request a subscription by first giving it a name of your choice and clicking 'Subscribe'. Your request will be sent to our team who can activate your subscription key.
View your subscription keys
Once your subscription has been approved by the Macmillan team, you will see it's status change from Submitted to Active in your profile page. You can view the key there to use in your application.
Use your API keys
Access your subscriptions
Go to your profile page to view all your subscriptions. Each Subscription contains 2 unique API keys. These keys are required when making requests to the API from your application.
Test your API key in the API Test Console
Once your Product subscription has been approved, select a Product you are subscribed to and navigate to the API you wish to test.
Click 'Try It' on the right of the page to reveal the API test console. Your Active API key(s) will be pre-populated for you to select and make a test request.
Using your API key in your application
The API Test Console provides code snippets in a range of programming languages which can copy and use in your application.
